So trump is basically going to defund nasa and kill our hopes at space travel right? I can't find anything about him supporting it

Just because there's nothing about it doesn't mean he's against. He has never been brought the issue of it.

Elon Musk will launch Tesla station and create a new anarchaic governance on the moon while the socialist earth burns.
If I remember right he basically said we will look to space after we sort out Earth.
Even if you support space exploration you should want to dismantle NASA and start over
>>76219706
Saying he wants to increase military funding is essentially pro-space. Military and NASA go hand-in-hand these days with gps and imaging satellites.

Implying NASA currently has any funds to take away.
Trump is going to build a wall between the US and the aliens
Space is a reddit meme.

What's wrong with nasa, they are still the only orginization to put men on the moon and plan to go to mars the sametime elon musk does
>>76219706
The only hope is privatized launches. NASA does things way, wayyyy too expensively (I wonder why? pic related). They're plenty good at other things though.
>"I love NASA... Space is terrific... Right now, we have bigger problems - you understand that? We've got to fix our potholes,"

>That one poor man in the corner doing all the work while the women just take pictures...

NASA has been dead ever since they started their diversity programs.
Private industry will usher in competition, (originally Soviet Union), and will begin exploration/expansion for profit. Going to the moon to farm nuclear fuel, creating stations in space as vacation hotspots, performing astronomical research in contract with the military, or terraforming mars in order to create real estate.
Your socialist star trek fantasy is just that, a fantasy, an intangible idea. Mega-corporations are the future.

So it starts with Musk, Bigelow, Hewson?
>>76220743
Pretty much this. NASA used to only hire the best of the best. Now they're run like a slightly more professional silicon valley startup.

Were you this concerned when Obama cut the funding for NASA?
>>76220543
Still makes me laugh every time I see this, the one black guy off to the side doing actual work while all the women pose for a photo
