I attend Binghamton University, a school in the New York State public uni system.
There's a lot of dumb diversity and inclusion bullshit that happens all the time on campus and is thrown into students' everyday lives through lots of propaganda and a somewhat influential Black Student Union and Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (sad to see hard-earned tax dollars going into the pockets of the administrators of this useless office).
Yet, even with all the stupid forced diversity material and a somewhat vocal liberal/SJW group of students, the BU student body have come through on more than one occasion in terms of filtering bullshit.

Not too bad. Bernie Sanders came to my campus and that drew a crowd, but there haven't been any protests or even posters detailing this shit. I think it might just be that there's no school pride/people just show up for class and go do their own thing so there's no motivation to actually do any of that stuff on campus. Class wise is about what you'd expect though with sociology classes being shit, history/poly sci classes mostly being good but some exceptions here and there, and hard sciences like math and econ being clean cut.
I got my masters at an elite West Coast university a couple of years ago in education. One of the classes we were required to take was called "Equity and Democracy" (the name has since changed to Equity and Practice as Democracy has historically been discriminatory towards certain minorities and therefore was an unacceptable name). The class was essentially social justice 101.
Interestingly (or maybe unsurprisingly), the non-white students were the most upset about the class. Not because of the course material, but that it wasn't going far enough (not condemning of capitalism, etc). They told the instructors (all of whom but one were non-white) that they were essentially coddling the white people by not tearing into them.
It was great. Me and another shitlord would sit back and listen and then chuckle at our idiot compatriots at a local bar for hours.

It's a weird mix around here of progressive Bay Area SJWs and the Silicon Valley elite.
There's an extremely vocal minority of students who are aggressively SJW, but most people are too busy studying and partying to really give a shit.
Also, the vast majority of students here end up wealthy and connected, so most people have an interest in preserving the status quo.
From the few non-technical classes I've taken, it seems like the average student has pretty realistic views on social issues. People are more inclined to discuss economic solutions to inequity than they are to complain about them.
Of course, the wacky SJWs or the redpill fedoras will occasionally have big political scandals that everyone forgets about a week later.

My high school did this way back in the day. All A's or A+'s would get a 4.0. A single minus for a guy would bring it down more than an A- for a girl. This only happened with the pluses and minuses though.
