Many states, California included, give out ID's to non-documented persons. For Mexicans, the "matricula consular" is hilariously easy to get and serves as official ID as well. It really isn't. Typically midwest schools have hyperinflated GPA's that most colleges will downscale because of the 5.0 scale. In Vrginia, if you get an A in an AP class it adds .049 to your overall GPA, a B gets .039, ect. If you get A's in 10+ AP classes throughout your schooling it's fairly easy to get above a 4.0.

Getting under a 3.0 takes less effort than getting over one, trust me. I graduated last year and got a .60 my first year year, .70 in my second, and 1.2 in my third. I just fucked off and played video games, I couldn't be bothered to keep an organized notebook to turn in or do homework. It wasn't untill my mom started to pay me that I got 3.8 in my fourth year.
