I want you to think about the implications of your upcoming Brexit.

If you do not succeed in leaving the EU, you will soon be flooded with refugees.

Germany has overtaken authority over the military of the Netherlands and will soon try to do the same with the Czechs.

Their ultimate goal of the EU legislative is to create an EU Army.

Many Christians have been very warey of Globalist Agendas because the scriptures give a prophecy, and that prophecy states that there will eventually be a time when Globalists are succeeding and that they will unite the world under a singular government, economy and religious institution, this will give rise to the Anti-Christ.

So that is why you see more Christians shouting about Armageddon these days.

Just gonna repost this here from previous thread:

Whenever you see A in front of you, you can never be sure that is indeed A in front of you. Even if you feel you might interact with it in any way. I know what I said does not guarantee anything. I just provided an attempt of justification for my assumption because not doing it is just defeatist and counterproductive. Again, I know what I'm saying here and I know it does not guarantee knowledge.
My last point is that at no point is not assuming the belief in God counterproductive. One can lead a perfectly normal life not believing in God.

>Faust is the protagonist of a classic German legend. He is a scholar who is highly successful yet dissatisfied with his life, which leads him to make a pact with the Devil, exchanging his soul for unlimited knowledge and worldly pleasures.

It draws on >many< Biblical messages about avoiding the worship of materialism and focusing on this life.

1 John 2:15-17
>Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

Guy sells his soul to the devil for power, in some variations of the tales he's saved by the Virgin Mary and in others he's damned to hell.

There's also an orthodox version with a priest called Theopilus in which he does the same in exchange for becoming an archbishop in the end the Virgin Mary saves him.
Just wanted to know if the concept of selling your souls even exists in the bible.

If you want to strip down all assumptions, I can only know I exist and that I seem able to think (to mix up concepts). Where do these concepts come from, where do my perceptions come from, whether any of these sources is reliable or not is something I cannot answer without assumptions.

>How? How do you avoid relativism for one? Not to mention nihilism
Humans have an "intuitive" morality. I do care a lot about my family or friends, for instance. To be relativist or a nihilist (and actually apply these beliefs) you have to supplant this tendency. I see that morality (as any preference) is more grounded on emotions (Even if I know killing is wrong, only an aversion towards killing will prevent me from doing that: that is an emotion) and social stability than anything else.

>Where do these concepts come from, where do my perceptions come from, whether any of these sources is reliable or not is something I cannot answer without assumptions.

You wouldn't even be able to assert this without assumptions

The question is: how axiomatically do you treat you assumptions?

That is, how much do you believe in them?

>Humans have an "intuitive" morality. I do care a lot about my family or friends, for instance. To be relativist or a nihilist (and actually apply these beliefs) you have to supplant this tendency. I see that morality (as any preference) is more grounded on emotions (Even if I know killing is wrong, only an aversion towards killing will prevent me from doing that: that is an emotion) and social stability than anything else.

You know as well as I do that it gets a lot more muddy than that

Once you stop believing that killing is inherently wrong, under all circumstances, all I have to do is (mis-)understand that you are threatening me and my family. And if I kill you in a society that agrees with me, I should be getting no punishment for what I've done

And this is just one small example

>On the justification for knowledge
Ultimately, since our thinking is so intertwined with language and language can only be acquired through socialization (see feral children), it's possible that I wouldn't be even able to realize that I existed were I not taken care by someone when I was younger. The quest to justify the assumptions of science really is a dead-end, in my view. That's why people still use assumptions.

The assumptions that you don't want to justify are your axioms

Take a note of them. They are your faith and the absolute basis of your thinking

But they are not absolute in any sense. Unless by definition
>>
>>76191584
Exactly. Religious people seem to have one claiming "God does exist". And if they are axioms, nobody on either side can justify anything, so any discussion becomes futile. The same would apply to any other kind of axiom someone might hold.

This is the conclusion I get from what you are saying. I actually do not like it, as it would show misunderstandings could never be resolved throw reason alone.

>And if they are axioms, nobody on either side can justify anything, so any discussion becomes futile

Not really. I believe in my axioms (God is just my prime assumption, which justifies all others - for example, the assumption that reason, as a matter of fact, reveals information about an existing world); More or less as much as my faith permits

But actually, the more I have faith, the more the discussion matters

Because personally I'm not interested as much in discovering an absolute epistemology (an amoral knowledge-based system) as much as I'm interested in applying the morality in which I believe in to you and to any other unbelieving person that I can

>This is the conclusion I get from what you are saying. I actually do not like it, as it would show misunderstandings could never be resolved throw reason alone.

Reason needs absoluteness for it to have firm standing. A being such as God provides this justification for me

I believe there is such a thing as an absolute perfect reason, emanating from God Himself. Its perfect rules, and its likewise axioms which we may know through prayer and communion with His being

But if even your reason doesn't have firm grounding, you're bound to reach literal insanity

That's if you're smart and obsessively against faith

Everything that concerns theism is personal. As the God is personal with theism and only theism

The more it matches the innate goodness and humanity within the person, the more they get closer to the true morality and its true religion

I myself purely resonate with Christianity. It makes my heart beat differently when I think not of God necessarily, but of the teaching of the Gospel

Something in my soul I would say is stirred when I hear those words and listen to them being spoken

I believe it resonates with that pure and innate goodness within us all. But you'd only be able to get there through a personal experience. As is all theism

I think that every religion is a work of fiction but I enjoy the culture and nature of mine. I like that we believe that a man of virtue will have a place in the world to come, regardless if he is a Jew or not. I also enjoy the rich traditions of the religion, more than those of Christianity.

As for Micah 5:2, I have no comment, I respect people of all religions, especially those who observe their texts, it takes a lot of willpower to do so.

I think it would be smart for Christians and Jews to unite, as Orthodox Jews hold the same political views as most proper sects of Christianity, while the Muslims threaten us both.

Remember! The social justice warriors hate us just as much as you, if not more. They only like the Jews who do not observe the Torah, the secular "Jews" by name alone.

I'm talking about what Micah 5:2 is referencing.

It's talking about the Messiah.

Cool.

Next up.

What do you think this scripture is talking about?

>Isaiah 53:3-7

He was despised and rejected by men
a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief
and as one from whom men hide their faces
he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Surely he has borne our griefs
and carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed him stricken,
yet we esteemed him smitten by God, and afflicted.
But he was pierced for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
pand with his wounds we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned—every one—to his own way;
rand the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.
He was oppressed, and he was afflicted,
syet he opened not his mouth;
tlike a ulamb that is led to the slaughter,
and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent,
so he opened not his mouth.

There is a very strange level of similarity when it comes to Flood Myths around the world.

Africa
Southwest Tanzania
Once upon a time the rivers began to flood. The god told two people to get into a ship. He told them to take lots of seed and to take lots of animals. The water of the flood eventually covered the mountains. Finally the flood stopped. Then one of the men, wanting to know if the water had dried up let a dove loose. The dove returned. Later he let loose a hawk which did not return. Then the men left the boat and took the animals and the seeds with them.

Asia
China
The Chinese classic called the Hihking tells about "the family of Fuhi," that was saved from a great flood. This ancient story tells that the entire land was flooded; the mountains and everything, however one family survived in a boat. The Chinese consider this man the father of their civilization. This record indicates that Fuhi, his wife, three sons, and three daughters were the only people that escaped the great flood. It is claimed, that he and his family were the only people alive on earth, and repopulated the world.

Aha, this scripture is used often to describe the coming and suffering of Christ, correct?
>>

Babylon
Gilgamesh met an old man named Utnapishtim, who told him the following story. The gods came to Utnapishtim to warn him about a terrible flood that was coming. They instructed Utnapishtim to destroy his house and build a large ship. The ship was to be 10 dozen cubits high, wide and long. Utnapishtim was to cover the ship with pitch. He was supposed to take male and female animals of all kinds, his wife and family, provisions, etc. into the ship. Once ship was completed the rain began falling intensely. The rain fell for six days and nights. Finally things calmed and the ship settled on the top of Mount Nisir. After the ship had rested for seven days Utnapishtim let loose a dove. Since the land had not dried the dove returned. Next he sent a swallow which also returned. Later he let loose a raven which never returned since the ground had dried. Utnapishtim then left the ship.

Chaldean
There was a man by the name of Xisuthrus. The god Chronos warned Xisuthrus of a coming flood and told him to build a boat. The boat was to be 5 stadia by 2 stadia. In this boat Xisuthrus was to put his family, friends and two of each animal (male and female). The flood came. When the waters started to recede he let some birds loose. They came back and he noticed they had mud on their feet. He tried again with the same results. When he tried the third time the birds did not return. Assuming the water had dried up the people got out of the boat and offered sacrifices to the gods.

India
A long time ago lived a man named Manu. Manu, while washing himself, saved a small fish from the jaws of a large fish. The fish told Manu, "If you care for me until I am full grown I will save you from terrible things to come". Manu asked what kind of terrible things. The fish told Manu that a great flood would soon come and destroy everything on the earth. The fish told Manu to put him in a clay jar for protection. The fish grew and each time he outgrew the clay jar Manu gave him a larger one. Finally the fish became a ghasha, one of the largest fish in the world. The fish instructed Manu to build a large ship since the flood was going to happen very soon. As the rains started Manu tied a rope from the ship to the ghasha. The fish guided the ship as the waters rose. The whole earth was covered by water. When the waters began subsiding the ghasha led Manu's ship to a mountaintop.

Australia
There is a legend of a flood called the Dreamtime flood. Riding on this flood was the woramba, or the Ark Gumana. In this ark was Noah, Aborigines, and various animals. This ark eventually came to rest in the plain of Djilinbadu where it can still be found. They claim that the white mans story about the ark landing in the middle east is a lie that was started to keep the aborigines in subservience. This legend is undoubtedly the product of aboriginal legends merging with those of visiting missionaries, and there does not appear to be any native flood stories from Australia.

Europe
Greece
A long time ago, perhaps before the golden age was over, humans became proud. This bothered Zeus as they kept getting worse. Finally Zeus decided that he would destroy all humans. Before he did this Prometheus, the creator of humans, warned his human son Deucalion and his wife Pyrrha. Prometheus then placed this couple in a large wooden chest. The rains started and lasted nine days and nights until the whole world was flooded. The only thing that was not flooded was the peaks of Mount Parnassus and Mount Olympus. Mount Olympus is the home of the gods. The wooden chest came to rest on Mount Parnassus. Deucalion and his wife Pyrrha got out and saw that everything was flooded. They lived on provisions from the chest until the waters subsided. At Zeus' instruction they re-populated the earth.

North America
Mexico
The Toltec natives have a legend telling that the original creation lasted for 1716 years, and was destroyed by a flood and only one family survived.

Aztec- A man named Tapi lived a long time ago. Tapi was a very pious man. The creator told Tapi to build a boat that he would live in. He was told that he should take his wife, a pair of every animal that was alive into this boat. Naturally everyone thought he was crazy. Then the rain started and the flood came. The men and animals tried to climb the mountains but the mountains became flooded as well. Finally the rain ended. Tapi decided that the water had dried up when he let a dove loose that did not return.

The Jews rejected their own Messiah.

Even you must know that the reason the Jews wander the earth and are cursed to be rejected is because they broke their covenant with God.

That's why you lost the Ark of the Covenant.

That's why Israel was scattered by the Babylonians.

Read Deuteronomy 22 to understand why your fate is what it is.

You will be cursed in the city and cursed in the country
You will be cursed when you come in and cursed when you go out.

The Lord will cause you to be defeated before your enemies. You will come at them from one direction but flee from them in seven, and you will become a thing of horror to all the kingdoms on earth.

The foreigners who reside among you will rise above you higher and higher, but you will sink lower and lower.

Then the Lord will scatter you among all nations, from one end of the earth to the other. There you will worship other gods—gods of wood and stone, which neither you nor your ancestors have known. Among those nations you will find no repose, no resting place for the sole of your foot. There the Lord will give you an anxious mind, eyes weary with longing, and a despairing heart. You will live in constant suspense, filled with dread both night and day, never sure of your life. In the morning you will say, “If only it were evening!” and in the evening, “If only it were morning!”—because of the terror that will fill your hearts and the sights that your eyes will see. The Lord will send you back in ships to Egypt on a journey I said you should never make again. There you will offer yourselves for sale to your enemies as male and female slaves, but no one will buy you.

You are a people who were rejected by God for your stubborn and wicked behavior.

You rejected God when he was with you.

>>
>>76200063

Jesus may have instructed us in some parts to be pacifists, but He Himself is not a pacifist

He'll eventually, personally, be rubber-stamping people's tickets to Hell

As for the fight against Muslims and all enemies of Christ:

All we have to do is use minimum necessary force, and purely for defence from serious threats to the Christian community

A slap to the face, to your right cheek (with the back of someone's the right hand) is but a lesson never to take personal offence, for petty things

Christianity is a slave religion. It venerates and reveres pacifism and sheep like behaviour.

I despise Islam more than I do Christianity but at least the former encourages people to fight for what they believe in.

Christians wouldn't have suffered hundreds of years of violent repression and torture if they had fought for their ideology and people like the Muslims did in the 6th century.

Shit, christians are still being repressed in Muslim countries because they refuse to stand up for themselves. I thought people on this board prided themselves on being strong minded but you're all just sheep following a shepherd you've never even fucking seen.

To the Jew in the thread. Those Jews who condemned God literally called for their blood to be on their own heads (not God's righteous blood which cleanses sin) *AND* their children's heads (yours). This means that they literally inherited a curse, and passed it on to you.

However, you can receive God's grace by accepting your messiah.

I don't know what it's like to be a Jew in your shoes, I have no frame of reference. However, I know that you basically teach your children that He is boiling in excrement and tell everyone not to study Christianity. That should at least make you suspicious. Then I guess you could look at the 'fruits' of your religion, or lack thereof. Are you a cultural Jew, i.e. riding the bandwagon of nepotism, or do you practice your religion?

Do you feel abandoned by God? When you read the Old Testament, do you think "Wow, God really doesn't speak to us any more?" or do you think more like "We truly have the best religion, just look how good things are for us?"

Do you hate white people? Do you have a burning asspain against Europeans for inheriting God's blessings and watching it prosper ever since we accepted Christ?

Do you not see the positive correlation between acceptance of Jesus Christ with prosperity and blessings? Or do you think that it's a coincidence and a huge conspiracy that we planned to oppress you and make a fake religion?

I don't hate you. I used to, before I was a Christian, and when I first learned about the synagogue of Satan. But, God loves you and wants you to repent, so that's why we preach to you.

How are you going to follow your mitzvot without a temple? How many bulls do you sacrifice these days? What happened to your religion? Didn't you ever wonder?

Wait, why does a God who is omnibenevolent sending people to a place where they will suffer eternal torture and excruciating pain for all eternity? Jesus seems to be one big oxymoron.

>all we have to do is use minimum force
I agree

>a lesson for petty things

Not really, it was Jesus saying do not follow the rule of "an eye for an eye".

Well if you look around and see people bowing to idols of Mary and praying to her and wanting to serve her, you might start to question your religion.

God is a person. How are you supposed to have a relationship with Him if you're praying to dead people and having a chain of people mediate for you?

How are you supposed to be a Jew when you can't even follow your own commandments because you don't have a temple and those commandments bringing you death, and literally telling you that if you follow all but ONE of them, you literally are cursed with death?

This baffles me.

>Doesn't matter whether you think we're approaching end times or not.
>The question you should ask is. "Is a globalist agenda real, and if so, where do I stand?"
So what you're saying is end times is a non issue, and this separate unrelated question is more important. Agreed.

My question however is why you relate the two ideas when clearly there have been better scenario candidates of what could be end times.

Because their aren't.

Pre-requisites for end-times

>Jews return to Israel after 2000 years
>They begin to talk about rebuilding the Temple of Solomon
>Globalism begin to take over
>One World Government is pushed by the Globalists
>Anti-Christ eventually appears and proclaims himself to be God within the Temple

We can clearly see that pre-requisities are being fulfilled at what is actually an extremely alarming rate. This causing many Christians great concern.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace

Deuteronomy 11:26 Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;
27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day:
28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.

Have you kept all those O.T. commandments? If you haven't, you are cursed and deserve to die.

Romans 5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound

God gave those laws to teach people about trespassing; i.e. 'look, you cannot do anything by yourself, you need my grace'.

As a Jew, how are you supposed to be made right with God, having broken His commandments.

First of all, everyone who sins should die, without God's grace. Including the O.T. grace of being able to have sacrificial offerings.

Second of all, without a priesthood of verified descendants of Levites, temple, or the red heifer, how are you supposed to be able to atone?

Is this not being dead in trespasses?

Ephesians 2
1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast

1 John 2:22-23
22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

If you don't accept God's Son, how can you be talking about the same God as me?

Genesis 1:26
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

If a Muslim condemned me, I would tell him that the Quran is inconsistent with both the Old Testament and the New Testament.

a Muslims would reply by telling me that both the Torah, the Tanukh and Gospel were altered and that's why it doesn't fit.

They would fail to provide any evidence, and I would counter by telling them about the Dead Sea Scrolls.

That isn't my argument with you.

ALSO

I was NOT condemning you. I was telling you that the Jews are responsible for breaking the covenant they had with God, which is why they lost the Ark of the Covenant.

The Jews had GOD HIMSELF residing with him and they rejected him.

and yet it's some sort of shock to you that they would reject the Messiah when they forsook God himself.

Because I have a relationship with my creator, El Elyon and Lord Jesus who spoke to me, and the Holy Spirit who guides and teaches me. I have nothing in this world except what God gives me, I am only alive because of His grace. I know that it's true.

Maybe in your study of 'Judaism', you can simultaneously the New Testament.

Or here's a better idea; since you are looking for God, why don't you pray to Him? Say your concerns to Him.

>Lord God, I don't know if your Son is real or not, but I'm looking for the truth, so if He is your Son, please send Him in to my life and teach me.

If you don't, you have no excuses, I guess. It's like being curious about what's behind a door, and refusing to open it.

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

God loves you. He wants you to be with Him. Why won't you knock?

pick one

catholics are so antic biblical rules its funny they claimed to be the ruling class of the church.
women cant speak in church they got nuns. you are to worship none but god they got people praying to mary.
idle worship is unforgivable and they put the same statue of jesus in churches all over the place and its debatable if he is supposed to be god in teh flesh or his son since he says shit like father why have you forsaken me on the cross

and my favorite the catholics have people confess their sins. in the bible its clear you only get to do that 1 time for any 1 thing. doing it again means you were not sorry and its like spitting in gods face to have pretended to be sorry but catholics have people do it weekly

A Christian knows that God exists.
An Atheist knows that God does not exist.
An Agnostic knows that he cannot know, so faith is a blind box. I believe it's better to live life without prejudice. There are good people and bad people of all colors and creeds.

Except Mormons. Fuck Mormons.
