My father basically makes the same argument. Then again he was discriminated against most of his life, and jokes at the expenses of his origins were made constantly around him, so this must have influenced the way he thinks. The same doesn't apply to these cucks.
His argument was that speech is all that's needed to gain power, such as was the case with Hitler, so the only way to prevent bad elements to rise is to prevent free speech for these elements. It's a kind of slippery slope argument. My counterargument was that the reverse is also true: you can push this banning of speech of undesirables so far that nobody except your cronies are allowed any free speech, and you're back into fascism. He thinks it's not likely to ever get literally that bad, whereas Hitler is a real-life example of the opposite.
