The problem aren't "refugees", the problem is that they are virtually impossible to integrate with such high unemployment (in italy) and few low skilled and underpaid jobs.
Take also the rate of migration. 100k or fixed quotas migrants are way more easy to integrate than a mass of 1kk coming.
They eventually become leeches of the welfare system and become more prone to crime and social exclusion.
The only thing they are good for is paying up contributions for state pension funds.
