I know he's a nigger which is reason enough to dislike him, but things could have been much worse for South African whites if a Mugabe had taken power. Mandela did an ok job of holding the country together for a while.

Yes, Mandela was ok.
Mandela supported the idea of seggregating South Africa into different pieces of land for the different ethnicities. As a solution to it's race problem.
However, Although being the figure head Mandela had nothing to say in the ANC policies. He was abused by the other party members and onlt used for his publicity.
Its sad that he just died yesterday. World won't be the same without Nelson Mandela.
