I was actually at a graduation last Friday for some pissant rural town. Half the graduating class stood for the honor roll. I was there to see a family friend graduate; she was also on the honor roll.
Before that, on Memorial Day, we had a barbecue, and during some conversation this girl turned to me and asked: "Which is bigger, Anon, a fifth or a tenth?".
Yeah, it's that bad. I'm 33 years old and went to a private boarding school. I took AP Calculus my senior year, was an excellent student, and still didn't have a 4.0 because back then, 4.0 was the absolute limit and it was actually quite hard to achieve, especially if you were attending a proper school.
