The molotov ribbentrop pact wasn´t initially about spliiting poland. Ribbentrop went to russia for "expected business" and knew that some secret part to the treaty would be signed, he/hitler expected it to be a pact about the baltic states staying sovereign. Then molotov revealed that the SU wants to split poland (the idea came from the commies, not germany). Ribbentrop shocked, not wanting to sign the treaty asked for a pause to call hitler. After some thought he agreed. His idea was to force poland into negotiations with it. Since getting the clean slate from britain, poland removed their diplomat from berlin so germany couldn´t negotiate directly with poland and poland refused to talk anyway. So after signing the pact, the other countries were informed (UK, France and US knew about the pact, german ambassadors made sure of it). Yet, nobody of them told poland because they knew it would prevent war. This was 2 weeks before the war started. Then some stuff which started around 5 days before the war led ultimately to the invasion (mostly thanks to the british foreign minister halifax).

So in order to get it to become a gas, you need at least 26°C. It can be found that during colder times, body heat wouldn´t be enough to reach these temperatures.
