I'm a woman who browses /pol/. Like many of you, I've lost faith in much of the mainstream media and democratic process. However, one thing that puts me off is that when the story broke about Johnny Depp beating his wife, none of /pol/ empathized, but rather just retorted with misogyny.
This, frankly, surprised me. While I'm not really an alt-right woman (sorry), nor am I racist, I would've thought /pol/ would've sided with the blonde-haired blue-eyed woman over Johnny Depp, with his swarthy complexion and Amerindian ancestry.
Rather, I saw a ton of posts calling her an opportunist, a lot of people agreeing with that, and everyone dismissing men who hit their wives.
Sorry, but I just get the gist that a lot of you overlook men who hit women, and I'd just like to hear from some of you that you don't endorse it, that you disavow it, because while I could have a sympathetic ear to some older conventions you guys repeat, such as chivalry, monogamy, maybe even chastity (though let's be honest, it's never coming back, and if we really want to be honest, sex is fun and sexual lib was really only bad for people who shouldn't have been having sex in the first place, i.e. ugly people, WE KNOW THAT'S THE HONEST TRUTH!).

I was further repulsed at how a lot of you spun this into some anti-marriage tirade, with some of you even postulating that most women today are opportunists gold diggers not worth marrying.
