I agree with that. A dem national convention riot seems likely, as Bernie is pretty much guaranteed to lose. He's millions of votes behind in the popular vote, and far enough behind on the delegates that he would need an absolute blowout in CA just to be able to argue the super delegate point. I haven't actually crunched the numbers, but I would guess that he would have to win by upwards of 40 percent (70/30), and there hasn't been a single significant primary that leads me to believe that this will happen.

it is only a matter of time before some of the south west states go back to mexico. there's no way a state which is majority hispanic is going to remain part of the united states. many hispanics are anti-american and do not integrate, their allegiance lies with mexico. combine that with millions of illegal immigrants and you got yourself a nice situation for civil war. i truly believe that we are living in a tinderbox (both europe and the US), all it takes is one big financial crisis to spark the flame. demographic shifts always bring war and re-drawing of national borders with them.

The thing about holding the public is you can't squeeze them. You can wrap up a smaller group in tape, but if you try to squeeze the whole thing, it starts sticking together and pushing back.
That's why the whole trump thing is going on; They didn't divide hard enough before conquering. Instead of a bunch of libertarians, tea fuckers, paleos and neo cons all bickering, they've managed to form a rather tenacious block of MAGA, slowly absorbing the impressionable mass of the electorate.
While the Republican base is coming around to uniting behind a charismatic and fresh leader, the Democratic base is falling apart as the establishment is destroying the good faith of the electorate.
