The city I work at. The fortifications are still visible and visitable. The church is nice too.
Most of our older cities have walls or fortifications. Only cities with "City rights" were actually allowed to build them.

And lastly, Flevoland. Our largest polder. It is all manmade land mostly used for agriculture. Might be the flattest land on the planet
About 60-70 years ago this was a salt water sea. Now it is land with a sweet water lake (Ijsselmeer) around it.
