To your first claim, isn't that the same for every businessman? Their entire job is centred around the consumer market. The only source that I saw that came close to this claim was when he said that he was anxious for the market crash.
Next, is the whole Trump University thing. Honestly, it did the students better than if they are to get a genre studies degree, or some shit like that. The trial is still happening anyways, so innocent until proven guilty.

Loans are a part of every business, and Trump has many assets that are worth millions. Though they are not liquid assests, it's still enough to prevent him from bankruptcy.
