>Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton has opened up a double-digit lead over Republican rival Donald Trump, regaining ground after the New York billionaire briefly tied her last month, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Friday.
>Some 46 percent of likely voters said they supported Clinton, while 35 percent said they supported Trump, and another 19 percent said they would not support either, according to the survey of 1,421 people conducted between May 30 and June 3.
>Trump had briefly tied Clinton in support among likely U.S. voters in May, raising expectations for a tight race between the two likely contenders in November's presidential election.

I told /pol/ he was leading because he became the nominee and he will eventually lose the lead. I was called a shill. Now this happens.

I'm convinced this is the first election for everyone on /pol/

Except the same poll showed them tied a month ago and people here had no problem with it then. Reuters/Ipsos is also the poll Trump liked to cite the most during the primaries.

Hope you fags enjoyed that small lead while it lasted. You can't even say "Trump hasn't even started on Clinton!" anymore because he's been attacking her for over a month as Crooked Hillary and bringing up her past scandals.
>>
>>76003702
do you understand how polling works, moron?

1400 is actually larger than the sample size for most national polls.
>>
>>76003578
Damn.

The political parties do their own statistically valid polling themselves and don't share the results. It has become extremely complex, so they're keeping it for themselves. They need it to know which district to focus on and allocate their spending optimally. They can't win without it.

Supposedly the democrats are in panic mode because (taking electoral colleges into consideration), Hillary probably will not win the GE. And their establishment do not want Sanders. They may just bring up Biden at their convention.
>>
>>76003578
I don't remember that. That's pretty funny though. I never trust polls. They're too easily manipulated and twisted. Which is I guess why the media loves them.

Honestly this, I don't believe any of these damned polls, so far as I'm concerned the nation supports Trump and Hillary 50/50 at the moment. Remember when Hillary was going to win Michigan in a landslide?

>>
>>76005589
Huh? They've been mostly right.
>>
>>76006195
He's not wrong though. You would need multiple representative samples stacked against one another for it to even begin to be a meaningful poll. This poll is the literal equivalent of you walking outside and asking random people what they thought about something and just doing that around 1400 times... the idea that that would be reflective of anything solid, especially from a national standpoint, is laughable.

They both have high unfavorables so it doesn't really matter. Plus plenty of elections, national and otherwise, aren't decided by favorables. Take the sample size of one single issue voter -- they'll pick based on that issue and not how much they "like" the candidate. Most voters have something they'll vote based on -- security, ideology, whatever -- but likability? Much less common.

This chart is all about favorables. As I just said: most voters do not make their selection based on favorability. Lemme clarify my example: say you have a voter, call him Steve, and Steve thinks that national security is the most important issue -- Steve likes Kerry more, in terms of favorability he will answer to a pollster that he "likes" Kerry more -- but Steve will actually vote for Bush because Steve perceives Bush as being stronger on national security. You can move the dial around all you want, from national security, to the economy, to single issues, etc... those are the things that voters actually vote on -- it is very rare that someone votes based on favorability.

She is not even +10% in the ipsos poll what the fuck are you talking about?
>>
>>76002913

A few points to address:

First, the Reuters poll has been reporting Trump at a 10-point loss throughout the second half of the month of May, even as EVERY OTHER reputable polling group found Trump and Clinton in a dead tie.

Furthermore, the Quinnipiac poll conducted at the same time indicates that Trump and Hillary have a 1-point difference between the two of them:

It should be noted that RCP has never used the Reuters/Ipsos poll in its aggregate, probably because it has the strongest liberal leaning of any pool RCP currently uses.

It should also be noted that the article you have given has been repeated in its exact form throughout different mass media sites.

I saw Hillary Clinton at a grocery store in Arkansas two years ago. I told her how cool it was to meet her in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother her and ask her for photos or anything.

She said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but she kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing her hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard her chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw her trying to walk out the doors with like a hundred cans of soup in her cart without paying.

The man at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Ma'am, you need to pay for those first.” At first she kept pretending to be tired and not hear him, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When he took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, she stopped him and told him to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After he scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, she kept interrupting him by yawning really loudly.

Like I said in my previous statments no one is denying she has the current edge but shills are blowing up these outliner polls pretty hard. Any poll that has others listed above 10% should be taken witha grain of salt and barely be taken serious that includes rasmussen and Ipos rueters.

I would bet against johnson getting above 5% considering he can't even get his party to rally around him. And jill stein ia not getting more than 1% without bernies help which isn't happening

I've noticed a HUGE amount of eastern bloc shitheads shilling for HilLIARy recently. (and Canadifags, but they're just doing it because they think they are better than Aussies at the whole "trolling thing")

There are two reasons for this:
1.) They are poor as fuck and that $0,05 per post in USD is akin to 1/4 a days wages for them.
and
2.) A lot of them are anti-Putin like a motherfucker... therefore they will try to influence shit in favor of HilLIARy because they hope we blow up Russia under her watch.

Ignore Pro-HilLIARy posts from 3rd world commie bloc shithole "nations"

Bunch of fucking bydlo scum and gypsies.

I refuse to believe anyone unironically supports Hillary. No one who posts on a site like 4chan stands to gain anything from her winning the presidency. She's not a meme factory. It'll be 8 years of no real happenings while shitskins continue to replace western demographics.

Actually this chart is better.

According to Reuters:
>44% of voters are Democrats
>34% are Republicans
>11% are Independents

According to reality:
>30% of voters are Democrats
>26% are Republicans
>43% are Independents

Notice that Trump is leading with Independents.
This Hillary lead only exists because Reuters massively oversampled Democrats
>>
>>76002913
Always the Reuters/Ipsos poll showing these huge leads.. I wonder why.. :^)
>>
>>76006556
>Romney wasn't a universally despised candidate.

Universally disliked though.

He didn't have anything like the fervent support Trump has.
>>
>>76020948
If you look at the polls, most Republicans are only voting AGAINST Hillary, not because they're enthusiastic about Trump. Enthusiastic Trump supporters are a small minority of voters.
>>
>>76002913
What a crap article. The polls they use say it's a nine point lead, and then call it double digit lead.
With a 3.3 percent margin of error.

How do people that fail this bad, end up writing for Reuters?

>most Republicans are only voting AGAINST Hillary, not because they're enthusiastic about Trump
This is impossible to infer from a poll, and its the literal opposite. Hillary's entire campaign so far has been "I'm not donald Trump" and "I'm gonna keep doing everything Obama is doing". Meanwhile Trump has simple yet innovative solutions to every single one of our major problems.

I'm not throwing support one way or the other, but Hillary doesn't win debates and Trump removes the competition in debates regularly.
>>
>>76021930
No, it's not shithead. Many polls have the question "Are you voting for Donald Trump or against Hillary Clinton?" or something along those lines if worded differently. Most Republicans are voting against Hillary.
>>
>>76022429
Huh? Trump's debate performances were usually terrible and he loses his temper quickly.
>>
>>76022823
Trump still managed to come out on top after most debates, even when he didn't even mention the issues and just made personal attacks.

Hillary's surefire nomination is largely because she stopped doing debates.
>>
>>76012225
Exactly. If there's any kind of terror attack on US soil between now and November, it goes overwhelmingly to Trump. Even if there's a serious one overseas it could influence polls substantially.

that isnt true at all. polls came out all the time with trump behind other candidates and he would go on to win that state

>>
Who cares?
Trump is simply the last opportunity for America to resolve it's differences amicably. If he loses then it simply means that the forces of reaction who have thus far been held in check by the belief that change can be wrought from within the system will be let loose.

If you are a moderate or a leftist you should be praying for a Trump victory as it will be the only event capable of forestalling the well-memed "Day of the Rope", when lists are made and faces remembered, and the left is dragged out into the street and shot.
>>
I don't get the point of these polls.
Shouldn't they break it down by state? Isn't that what actually matters?
>>
>>76027390
>that isnt true at all. polls came out all the time with trump behind other candidates and he would go on to win that state

Cite specific examples of this occurring, moron. It didn't. Trump only won the states the polls predicted him to win. Why are Trumpfags so goddamn retarded and wrong all the time?
>>
>>76028141
Shouldn't you be at your gay pride parade?

And to answer your question, electoral college votes are based on popular votes. Every now and then you get some inconsistencies, but, for the most part, popular vote is accurate.
>>
Trump supporters in San Jose attacked by terrorists and nothing was done.

Now reverse the races.

What if the woman who got assaulted with eggs were black?

What if the terrorists were white and the people attacked were black?

Prison for all. 30 years at least.

But the attackers were brown, waving a Mexican flag.

So the San Jose leadership blames (wait for it) the TRUMP supporters and Trump himself for having political views that the terrorists didn't like.

What the FUCK, America?

What happened?

It will only get worse unless we get Trump elected and the illegals deported the hell out of here.

Build the wall.

Please build that wall.

None of the other top polls even come close to this margin. Huffington post was updated yesterday, and the cnn poll was updated june 1st. Apparently hillary jumped anywhere from 9 to 5 points in a day and a half. Is this just an outlier or is something going on?
