I think most guys desire marriage and family, but there's a serious lack of trust. Sure, 50 years ago women could be unfaithful, only care about money, etc... but nowhere near the degree of today.

I'd say the best time to marry is late 20s assuming you find the right spouse and have a stable life(house, savings, good job). Marry earlier than that and you're more likely to trip up financially or be too immature for a parent. Marry later and you'll have a tougher time finding the right person.
