The problem is that bachelor's degrees are basically worthless nowadays because there are too many people who have them. So, we need to change our culture and try to push our children to go to vocational schools in order to learn a real skill. Another problem is that most companies would rather outsource labor to shitty third-world countries in order to save a buck, while at the same time offering a shittier product or service.
I believe we need to penalize companies who outsource via tariffs to make outsourcing much less profitable. If we do that, jobs will increase in the US which would increase demand for labor.
Too bad that colleges and universities in this country want to pander to crybabies, rather than the students that actually want to learn and be there.
I ha a roommate one semester who never went to class, played video games all the time, and failed pretty much every test, yet he was able pass all of his classes because he was able to blame it on 'feeling sad' all the time. He was able to get one of the school psychiatrists to diagnose him with 'severe depression', even though he knew he was serving up a crock of shit. He even admitted to me that he lied to both his adviser and the psychiatrist. Mine you while this was going on, I was struggling to pass all my classes. Not only did I have a full course load, I worked full time and was dealing with a lot of personal issues as well. Do you think I bitched and complained? Hell no! I sucked it up and continued to press on.
This diatribe ends with my former roommate using this excuse on three separate occasions and graduating with a B.S. in Mathematics, while I had to stop going to school because of financial reasons with an A.A. in Chemistry. You have to realize that the perception of college for most american students is a four year party where they get to fuck around and do drugs and basically be irresponsible young adults without parental supervision for the first time in their lives. On the other hand all of the shitty PC professors straight out of universities like UC boulder, Bard, and a bunch of different colleges in Commiefornia. This will create a University environment with fewer overall students, and most middle class and working class people who can keep up with the work will graduate with a real degree, and only the children of the wealthy can waste their parents money on useless liberal arts degrees.

Forbid more than X number of courses per department from focusing on a post-modernist time period or using a post-modernist term in their course description.

Expressly forbid political/social opinions in a classroom. Office hours, personal correspondence is fine, but not in the class itself.
Include at least one question about the class teaching opinion vs facts or theories in course surveys.
Mandate parity of political speakers. If a student union wants to bring in 3 liberal speakers, make them also have to bring in 3 non-liberal speakers.
