This question is difficult to make sense of, though. It's like asking, "What's wrong with having diabetes?"
For me, it isn't so much about the moral harm caused by open homosexuality. It's the celebration of it that many of us disagree with. It makes it impossible for the sufferer to procreate, basically. It's a defect.
We should have sympathy for homosexuals, but we shouldn't hide the fact that a society comprised of them would disappear within a generation. Thus, their unions can never be given the same prestige as heterosexual unions which, literally, keep the human race going and keep nations strong and healthy.

The studies on this topic would be too numerous to name. Nearly any longitudinal study on family structure supports the traditional mother/father family structure.

I think it's brave of Milo to put forward that idea, but I think he's mistaken.
You have to be hopelessly naive or a moral invalid to think it's fair to a woman to marry her as a homosexual. It just betrays Milo's lack of understanding about how real marriages actually work.
I do think we handled homosexuals relatively well in the past, but one of the big heartbreaking mistakes was pushing it under the rug. This led to many "down-low" men cheating on their wives and tearing apart families through their impulsive cheating.
It's far better, I think, to respectfully encourage homosexuals to engage in their sex lives privately and to be discreet. But I would not wish a crypto-homo father on anyone.
Also, the IQ stuff is specious at best, and we would gain far, far more geniuses in the population if hetero people would simple breed more children.
