Here in Ausfagland it's compulsory to vote once you are registered. I made the dumbfuck decision to sign up before I could even vote during high school.
Now I'm on a list for life, and if I don't vote or update them whenever I move house I get fined.
Don't pay the fine? You go before a judge who gives you an even bigger fine, re-education lessons and possibly leave you with a permanent mark on your criminal record.
