DCU here: extremely, fervor-ish, obnoxious, argument ridden left wing views all around; if you're conservative, especially if you're a trump supporter you are immediately demonized and ostracized without an opportunity to present your opinion. I believe that the conservationism that our country needs to stay on the path of political justice and sanity resides outside of the ring of the big cities, in the grass of Irish towns and parishes where true Irish Nationals believe in the greatness of their country and their people. DCU is one of the most liberal colleges in the country but I do believe that there is an outspoken majority of students on other campuses that stand for the good of this country, and of our tradition.

Rightly so. In DCU unfortunately we have the horrific degree that you've heard stories about that is Culture Studies, and I will assure you that everything you hear about these degrees is 100% true. The students of these degrees come out less capable of discussion and far more radical towards issues such as race, sexuality, and gender. These people become racists and sexists towards those that are white, male and straight and luckily we see huge amounts of female representation in fields such as physics and sciences to combat these inanities.
We also have an African society that often act like absolute nobs IMHO. One of the only times I have interacted with them intimately was when they were intruding on a society event that I was at in order to avail of goods and services paid for by the society members running the event.

I don't think most people here are so wealthy that they're entitled, quite the opposite. I think that many of these people have little money to fund their college education and their lack of validation drives them to be ridiculously timid or attempt to create some validity somewhere. A lot of my friends are here through easy access which means they pay next to nothing to attend the college, and in fact make back much more money by just attending because they're from areas such as ballymun.
That being said, yes, there are absolute fucking bellends that wouldn't touch someone born on the rough northside with a ten foot pole because they're prejudiced and have ridiculous pre-conceived notions about "every" northsider but this kind of person is encountered way less on dcu campus then either of the other two large colleges in Dublin.

Trinity is a fucking shithole of Northsiders that believe that their ticket to the patrician, wealthy southside life that they deserve lies in the social climbing they do with Southsiders on campus, who in turn believe that because they went to the college with the highest demands, and the oldest establishment that they are becoming gods gift to the next generation of people. A bubbling cauldron of snobbery and superficiality that's borne stories about people who were ostracized from their college-mates because they didn't conform to some pedigree imagery that the social circles there demand.
I can't say anything about UCD; they're too far away from me to see and I only see culchies flooding in from the countryside to go there, and culchies are fine with me.
