There's pretty much no wildlife near most cities.
There are supposedly still wolf packs and cougars and lynxes in some forests but I never saw any in Quebec. I think the wildlife is dying off. :(
A while ago they warned people in the news that beavers are dangerous too. They get really mad if you get near their dams and if they bite you they can pierce a limb from side to side with their incisors. Some guy bled to death because it got through an artery. That's just bad luck though.

Yeah I remember reading about the beaver one a few months ago, what a way to go. But it is true most of our really deadly wildlife is small (think snakes, spiders, even jellyfish).
