America's becoming an idiocracy invevitably it's a good thing and bad thing. Good thing is people who are average people will be the people in power for their somewhat "over average intelligence" compared to actual "normal people" of the future. That's why no money is going to education. 01% literally wants people to dumb down and get distracted by blatant commercialism. Wheras in the past people would build strong social networks, unionize and get educated and fight for equality, now they waste their lives away in front of Netflix and video games.
Interesting thing is that over a 100 years ago some of the 01% specifically wrote about this being their intent and how to achieve in.
End result, in the US at least the average human being wastes away on the internet or in front of tv instead of being the intelligent opiniated, proactive individuals they used to be a 100 years ago irrespective of education. Such individuals would insist on and fight for equality, which the rich off course do not want.
