I know /pol/ is mostly concerned with anti shitskin and pro trump rhetoric. But what are your opinions on the troubles and bobby sands in particular? Pic related.

Yeah, whilst protesting the fact that he got caught with a murder weapon after blowing up the Balmoral furniture store which killed 2 innocent babies.

Acts of violence were commited against innocents by both the ira and the british armt

Bobby sands and the rest of the IRA / INLA are all scum. They'd shoot and bomb anything to get their way. And in the end they gained nothing, loyalists made sure of that.
Anyone who even supports the IRA doesn't know the history. The loyalist are simply defending their homeland while the RA wants it to become part of a foreign country.

I would never disagree with that, I do disagree with hailing bobby sands as a hero though. I've got family on both sides and lived in Derry and Armagh I've seen the violence from both sides and felt it also. Do you align with either side?

The Irish Republicans are soft now and all about "socialism" and "diversity", while the Loyalists are steadfast and unwavering in their Prodistant faith, while also keeping a large amount of arms handy for when the Catholics and Muslims get uppity.
It's definitely something that MAKES YOU THINK

No not today, the ira of today are a bunch of idiots
What are your opinions on the fact that there's probably more strong Republican sentiment in places like Manchester, Liverpool, Edinburgh and Glasgow than in Ireland?
