I just want to explain why Scotland is the best country in the world. I'm not trying to attack other countries, it's just a lot of facts.
1. We do not pay any college/university tuition whatsoever. A company called SAAS (student awards association Scotland) pays this for us. We also get extremely good student loans via SAAS. We get £4,750 each semester and only have to pay it back when you make over £19,000 a year.
2. We get free healthcare with the NHS (UK too but whatever) and the quality of healthcare in Scotland is very good.
3. We are a relatively small country in terms of population, so spending can help the country a lot more.
4. We basically have a quasi-socialist Government so we get a LOT of student/health/age/personal problem/housing benefits.
5. We have incredible wildlife and landscapes all around the country and living out there is not a problem with anyone.
8. Our police are extremely tolerant and very understanding people generally throughout Scotland. Glasgow is somewhat an exception maybe.
9. The availability of drugs is also extremely good.
10. We don't have really any conflict with anyone else in the world, as people recognise that Scotland tends to be dragged into a lot of decisions made by Westminster.
There's a lot more things that make Scotland great but these are just the main reasons.

I was making about 1.5x that 3 weeks after I graduated... In the US you get a 6 month grace period before you start paying back, so I used those 6 months to pay off my car and credit cards before the student loans hit

But you only get admitted to university if you excel in high school. If you miss your window because you're too distracted by girls, or too apathetic with society because it's hostile to you, or too meatheaded since you spend your time playing sports (I guess you people toss tree trunks over your shoulder), then you're fucked. You make a fair point about high school, however a lot is being done to target young students to do their best to get into uni. For those who don't do so well, you can always go to college (for free) and get the appropriate award for year 1 and possibly year 2 of a selected university course. It's not exactly hard if you put in the effort.
Easily the best country within in the U.K. and get the best deals thanks to devolution. Much lower immigrant rate than England.
We are also generally much more respected internationally.
