What does pol think of this?

I think it would be awful to be that kid, his sincere moment of pain is nothing but a meme canvas to spread whatever bullshit people feel.
I hate this planet.

Seems like the shit THAT kid would post. pretty edgy. Albeit atleast he is trying to understand geopolitics. Granted he's being a touchy feely edgelorde about it.
>>75598909
Well if it wasn't for the fact that we are talking about the US army i would disagree with it.
Fucking burgers stop dying for the Jews already.
>>75598909
Its a harsh truth, soldiers rarely fight to protect their country anymore. but rather get send to some goat desert to stabilize a corrupt country.
>>75598909
At least he won't end up as hipster faggot taking care of his wife's kids while she goes out and fucks Jerome like ol' Kevin

well to be fair this isn't the only time this has happened. the roman citizen soldier had little care for the occupation of Spain but he did it. His professional successor had no emotional or pertinent reason either. Ultimately men are used to enforce maintain and expand the interests of the state. Just the way it is all the way back to the start of civilization. We rarely remember those with purely defensive military or no military power at all because they were of little value

Defensive battles are remembered the most though, Thermopylae, Tours, Vienna, the Alamo.
And wars against foreign occupation like wars of independence.
These are the battles and wars that matter.

>Defensive battles are remembered the most though
>every single battle is a defensive battle to one side

Well for example take the instance of the Minoans and the Mycenaeans.
The Minoans we know very little about. their language linear A is untranslatable. The Mycenaeans on the other hand linear B is translatable. The Minoans from what we could tell were very insular and peaceful with little standing army or will to expand in other words they were non war like. The Mycenaeans on the other hand were incredibly war like to the point that every structure we have of theirs seems to be some form of fortification or castle. The Mycenaeans also appear to be the origin of Homeric legend. The Minoans on the other hand have large buildings too, but they seem to be only grain storage sites. After this we know very little about the minoans other than that after a volcanic eruption they and substituent invasion by the Mycenaeans they cease to exist. We can't translate their language we can't do anything but speculate on their culture. They were a dead end because they were passive and weak. The Mycenaeans also were felled by a civilization more powerful than them. Yet much of the cultural and linguistic effects of the Mycenaeans remained further into Greek history. While the Minoans were completely irrelevant.

Cause we'd rather let the kikes fight their own wars.
