But it's going to hell. Many centers are completely overwhelmed.
If you have something serious and straightforward like a broken arm, they'll probably fix it on the spot and it'll be great.
But otherwise you can wait hours just to see a doctor. And your operation will be scheduled months later.
Old people and obese people really seem to clug the system.
And there is corruption. They want to drug people as much as possible. It makes a lot of people tons of money. That's why they like treating old people so much I guess.

Well to be honest, I get a monthly bill for my BC health care. Its mandatory and you have to pay $60/mo for it. Since I am currently unemployed for a few months I have already racked up a $300 bill I can not pay. Its also common in Canada that if your health care does not cover certain items or falls under work place, you have to pay the bill. I know a few people that got screwed over by this.
