Except there are no issues between FYROM and Greece. There'd be a conversation if there were actual issues, but all you do is keep provocating us. The "Greater Macedonia" plan is just a desperate attempt to introduce some legitimacy over your fake country by introducing Greek people in it. Why would actual Macedonians want to live in a shared Slav and Albanian state, rather than with their actual Greek-speaking co-patriots?

Which party are you voting for?

Tell me something about the opposition. Are they pro-business like the ruling party? Did they build as many things back in their day or they robbed the country the same? What are priorities for Macedonia (euroatlantic integration, name dispute, ethnic issues, economy)?
>>
>>75262736
Territorial.
>>
>>75261272

>>
>>75262760
We don't know if they're pro-business because they haven't been in power to prove it (The opposition party leader's family is a successful business family, a fact used by right-wing media to shill for the ruling party). Right now they bash most if not all foreign companies that have invested in Macedonia. Don't get me wrong, the right wing isn't actually that good, they are nepotists (actually everyone is to a certain extent), and so the people are forced to vote for the lesser of two evils atm (nationalist rhetoric helps quite a bit with the support).

Current priority for Macedonia is the euroatlantic integration, but that is brought to a standstill because of the name dispute.

>why isn't Macedonia a member of NATO then?
It's because of a FYROM issue, not an issue with Greece. We have nothing to do with the fact that you're trying to separate the concept of being Greek from the concept of being Macedonian.

Every nation has a nationalistic concept of expansion. Ours was "Megali Idea", yours is "United Macedonia". Just because you as a person don't espouse it, doesn't mean FYROM nationalists also don't.

>>75262736
Territorial. Pic related is Megali Idea from before we got [Greek] Macedonia. Even then, there were no real claims outside the traditional Greek area of the peninsula.

To tell you the truth, I used to be extremely resilient about the whole """Macedonian""" """issue""". But I've received an extremely rude and backwards-thinking responses from FYROM nationals on /pol/ (which is the extent of the contact I've ever had with them).

My original view of the issue was that if you want to be called Macedonia, you need to drop the Bulgarian language and adopt Greek. Turkey and Israel have successfully managed to change the common-speaking language of the state before in just a couple generations. But apparently it's not okay for me to suggest that, because the Bulgarian language is an important part of being Macedonian.

Well, no. You're not going to get the name if you're going to completely bastardise its meaning. Your statues are flattering, but your aims are clearly not to adopt the Macedonian identity, but to actually redefine the concept of being Macedonian and rewrite history to your liking. Pointless. Weak.

>>75263965
Would you say the same if the Chinese were trying to call themselves Indian just because they adopted Buddhism? Would that also be a questions only "intellectuals" are supposed to answer?

I know they've been teaching you a number of things that are not quite true about you "nation's" past, and frankly I sympathise. But there's no ambiguity on the Macedonians' language, culture or identity. They were as Greek as it can get.

Imitation is the highest form of flattery. We'd be welcoming you if you at least tried to adopt the Greek language. But as it is, you're essentially insulting us.

Slavs weren't north of the Greeks. They were north of the Dacians and God knows how many other minor, unattested tribes. Bulgar/Tatars were even further. Basically, the concept of the Bulgarian didn't even exist at the time, because your two composites hadn't even met yet.

If the Ancient Greeks didn't consider them Greek because they were barbarians, they were their own people, since they weren't tatars or slavs either.

Just because they weren't slavs or tatars doesn't automatically make them greek.

Or if you're bulgarian. I cant find the video of the old bulgarian who told the his assaulters that no matter how much they beat him, they'll still be bulgarians. Heres an article that was in the news and a few papers.

>tfw soros is my greatest ally
>>
>>75265271
They didn't consider them Barbarian, you dipshit. You're thinking the Illyrians, or Germanics, or whatever.

The saying went "Πας μη Έλλην, βάρβαρος", and the word "βάρβαρος" came from the fact that the Greeks didn't understand their language, instead making fun of them for making what they considered crude noises ("bar bar bar").

The term 'Έλλην', in turn, referred to whoever spoke Ελληνιkά (ie. Greek). By definition, you can't have a barbarian who doesn't speak Greek.

There were plenty dialects of Greek. Doric, Attic, Ionic, Macedonian, etc. There were also closely related languages, like Phrygian. Gradually, the Attic dialect was established across the Greek world, and the rest died-out. Once again, no relation to the Slavic language you're speaking right now. If you had any respect for the ancient Macedonia, you'd at least try to hide the fact that you're are Slav nation.
>>
>>75265791
Seeing as the majority thinks of you as bulgarians, I'd say so.

Also the desecration of the graves of bulgarian soldiers in Strumica would suggest so aswell.

He's not wrong though. Jews hate the Greeks because of what Macedonians did to them. Not a coincidence that the one Greek region whose name, history and geography are irrationally contested is Macedonia.

Not to mention
>In 1924, the Communist International suggested that all Balkan communist parties adopt a platform of a "united Macedonia" but the suggestion was rejected by the Bulgarian and Greek communists.

You're a kike creation birthed simply out of spite for Greece. No more than a tool.
