The problem with nuclear energy is that when shit hits the fan the results can be devastating and will cost billions of dollars to fix.
Same thing doesn't apply to solar power as broken panels can just be fixed or replaced.
The plants also need billions of dollars to build, maintain and decommission at the end of it's lifespan making it a lot less efficient that it's advertised to be.
