Sure, I know that you already had sizable Russian population in Riga because of Tsars plans for it to serve as industrial city in the Baltic.
However, resistance was one of the reasons we didn't get cucked by Slavs so much. Partisan activity in a decade after WW2 kept Russian settlers from being shipped down here. And it also delayed collectivization for some time. Only after big portion of population was exiled to Siberia, partisan movement died out.

My uncle was a second lieutenant in AK (National Army) during WWII. He fought against the krauts, they were operating from a forest and did guerilla warfare.
He told me that his grandma supplied them with food and grenades, hiding it in a basket and taking a huge risk if cought.
