I'd say it's pretty degenerate don't get me wrong I've watched a fuckton back in the day as form of escapism to distract myself and when I finnaly made myself better and happy I stopped i literally can't pick up an episode without getting distracted or bored. Actually, teenagers, not children are obsessed with anime.
Mostly because it is only modern medium that caters to teenagers.
There almost no Western movies, tv shows or cartoons made for them.
Everything is ether for children or adults. And teenagers hate first and don't understand second.
