Dude, one group of white people who lost a war, lost an economy, and lost political influence came back stronger than ever because some guy said really emotional and inspiration things. Now they are remembered as having been the most dangerous and scary thing to have happened in recent history. But yeah, the left on both sides of the Atlantic is stupid to try and suppress the far right. Things are still semi-manageable now and the far right will simply act as chemotherapy to sick systems to shift the pendulum out of crazyland before getting turned out in 1-2 cycles without destroying their core principles.
The longer the shift is put off, the more drastic and extreme the correction will be when the dissatisfied masses finally get their way.
