I think this will not only drive down service in the restaurant/bar industry but also make way for kiosks and most if not all server jobs will turn into food runners. I disagree with this. 20% is usually the tip for good service. 10% for subpar and even as low as 0 if they were completely terrible. Even with large groups if their total comes out to around $400, 20% of that is $80 which is a fucking lot for serving one table. Serving is always a gamble. You can serve a large group, give excellent service, they'll get a $400 bill and won't leave a tip.

Your server knows more about food and wine pairing if it's a nice steakhouse etc. and can educate you if you so desire.
