Our vegimite-eating friends fear the Indonesians up north, and rightfully so. They number 225 million in population and have undertaken military action against neighbours in the past, ranging from state-sponsored terrorism (Konfrontasi, 1963-1968) to outright invasion and occupation of sovereign countries (East Timor, 1978).

Also, those jungle-islander kebabs have been known to be violent towards Christians and Buddhists. Their atrocities in East Timor killed 200000, and their ongoing repression of religious minorities has led to Christian Extremist groups popping up in Indonesia and blowing mosques up (happened in few years back)

We got Australia's back though. Five Power Defence Agreement still stands.

Go jerk off to your ultranationalist fantasies of creating a Caliphate. Even the Dutch colonial government in Indonesia held more territory than the current Indonesian government.

>>74945313
We are worried, because we are majority Chinese. Look at the atrocities they committed against Chinese in 1997. A third of the Indonesian Chinese population fled and most settled in Singapore. Their islamic party often uses Chinese and Singapore as boogeymen for their mentally impaired voters, and they named 2 of their naval frigates after convincted terrorists who blew up a Singaporean bank 53 years ago.

If they come at us, we'll hit them with everything we've got, because we know we will be slaughtered if they win. I wouldn't be surprised if top brass authorises the use of biological weapons if we are losing.

>>74945582
Both sides claimed victory. China's offensive into Vietnam was halted, although the Chinese military today has drastically changed whereas the Vietnamese one stayed the same.

A Sino-Viet conflict today would resemble the Vietnam War, just that China would not give a single fuck about human life, unlike the Americans.

We got 100 or so Leopard 2A4s. The Leopard 2s we bring to EX Wallaby every year seem fairly suited for Australian terrain. The desert sand fucked with our Terrex IFVs though.

Meanwhile, Malaysia buys 48 Polish upgraded T72s in response to Singapore buying Leopard 2s, because it appeared that Poland was the only country willing to accept palm oil as payment (not kidding). Turns out Poland was selling their PT-91 Twardys away to buy Leopard 2s.

I would give everything to witness a war between two "communist" countries, where both sides don't care about human life. What a total butchery clusterfuck it would be.

The standard stuff would really be all the malls at Orchard Road, Singapore Flyer, Gardens by the Bay, Botanic Gardens, Clarke Quay, Sentosa etc.

Off the beaten track...we got the following:
> Fort Canning (ANZAC and British fortifications still intact and preserved)
> Labrador Park (ANZAC unit got wiped out there)
> Changi Prison (ANZAC, British, Indian and Chinese volunteers were detained and tortured there. Nice Australian sergeant even painted a mural on the chapel's walls)
> National Art Museum. Even if you don't like art, the architecture in there is great.
> Chinatown's nice too.

Thanks for defending Singapore 75 years ago, Australians. Even though you guys failed miserably thanks to British High Command and led to the systematic murder of 50000 Chinese males within the first 2 months of occupation, at least you guys tried.

ANZUS Treaty. We get endless spare parts from yanks for Abrams. Regardless of our political climate in support of wars.

With Leopards 2 (better tanks) we get Germany political sphere influencing our supply systems for spare parts.

>how is Germany going again in world politics? oh yeah thats right....

Have some confidence lad. I was at EX Wallaby 14 and the Australian Armour and Signal units were very professional. Almost beat us when we played OPFOR.

Second Sino-Japanese war kinda resembled that. Both sides heavily utilised suicide tactics, suicide bombing, swords and abuse of POWs. China VS Vietnam now would be equally brutal, but in HD.
