GOP politicians were/are still pretty stupid to think the base of Republican voters care about fiscal conservatism. They were always nationalists and never fiscal conservatives. It was just GOP sold them the idea that low taxes and free market would make the black people o away are die off. The reality is free market capitalism has destroyed social conservatism and religiosity because degeneracy sells. The GOP is nothing more than a racket, trying to solve the problems they themselves created. Instead of creating a fiscally middle leaning and socially conservative party the American voters fell for a corportist party who really give zero shits about the nation or its culture in any way. I hope the Bushes die a slow death, hopefully lung cancer or skin cancer.
