The struggle for survival took more energy, which is why Middle-Easterners and Asians could spend more of their energy on inventing. Look at the americans for example. They have contributed many things in the last 100 years and they have a powerful military but are often seen as uncultured people who have nothing but might and money.
Whites are not in the same relation to the rest of the world as americans are, it is merely an example that inventions or power does not automatically make someone better. On the other hand I do not wish to say that they don't matter either.

Actually conquest kind of does make them better.
Most science, art, debate, culture and religious advancement happens at the center of any empire.
Something about large scale movement of safe, relatively cheap trade and centers where a large number of different cultures can converse without fear.
Romans, China Dynasties, Arab Caliphates, you can match the large advancements with large empires pretty well.

Africans lived south of the Sahara. Google Kongo landscape or ivory coast landscape etc. There was no need to plan for the climate to change either, as it was very stable. No need for preparing for cold with advanced clothing. The ones best suited for this, was the smartest.

The downsides of whites is their outgroup preference and altruism, they sympathize too easily with races who hate them. No, but they fit in to our civilization.
It's worth mentioning that it is the most clever Indians (or at least the upper-middle class) that come though, it's not the average poor one. Somewhat true with Chinese too, but not necessarily (the average Chinese have higher IQ than the average White, but less creative).
Generally true with Persians too. Especially in the US. The one we have here in Norway, are the ones that rebelled against the regime and had enough money and wits to escape.
Remember that there are larger genetically differences between certain African tribes, than between Japanese people and Norwegians etc.
