been riding every day to work + weekends for a few years now. pretty much have to be willing to die or worse, disabled.
for me, my anxiety cannot handle rush hour LA traffic. for me, its a no brainer.

Around here these bikes are dirt cheap. I'm talking 1500 - 2k for a nice one. I got mine for 1200 and it was mint (old fart bought it brand new in 92 and hardly rode it) and had two brand new tires and a desert tank (5 gal, stock is 2 gal). It gets 50-60mpg so with the stock tank I can go 250+ miles. Well, if I ride aggressive off road (hill climbs, jumps) it's about 200 miles. I converted mine to street legal with a 200 dollar kit. But Honda makes an already street legal version to this day, but it's heavier and less power stock, but you can trim the fat. Search your craigslist for XR600R or XR650L (street legal version still in production). They also made a 250 and 400 version. Hope that helps.

If you can ride a bicycle and already have ATV experience you could easily handle a dirt bike. Just be careful with the clutch + twist throttle (most ATVs lack) til you get used to it.

If you get one, get an enduro. I went sportbike and regret it now. Get an enduro that is nimble, not one of those 600lb lardass murica enduros. KTM690 would be the best, but a KLX250s or a DR400s are great too. Supermoto is for niggers.

I have one. Been riding for 6 years but I think it's time to stop. There's too many crazy niggers here in VA beach driving and cunts on their phones. It's funny looking back because I learned to ride in Los angeles and actually felt safer there splitting lanes and riding I. The canyons than I do with tyrone and shaniqua swerving around every lane. I have an overpriced bmw but I just love the boxer engine torque and sound. Niggers ruin everything.
