Well we don't really know whats going to happen with the dragons. The books ended with a full scale war starting outside of Mereen with dragons just waiting to be freed. Drogon doesn't seem to obey Dany, other than the riding part. It does seem she has gone off the deep end in her last chapter, understanding her only path is with blood and fire.
