Thanks. Yes as for the space ports I mean the ones you can build after you have 5 pops on a planet and in which you build ships. I know that you are supposed to click on the type of armament you want to give them and they they start being produced, but my armament screen is covered with a bar about space modules or something. Anyone got this problem?

Click on the Empire button in the top left then the "Planets" tab along the bottom of the window that pops up. Then on top there is a "Create Sector" button. From there you choose the planets you want to be part of a single sector. Know in advance exactly what you want to do and do not mis-click because for some stupid fucking reason it costs 25 influence to take a planet out of a sector before you've even created it.
It's pretty buggy and barebones at the moment. It'll take a year for them to shape it into something good.

At first I thought I couldn't build space stations either. You need to select one of the weapons you already have. If your civ started with lasers, try clicking the laser module.
Also you must own the planet to build a space station.

I remember when it was released. Aside from the minor issues like terrible performance and unskippable 5 minute intro, the game design itself was broken.
Economy was dysfunctional as the game itself punished you for building anything, be it armies or even farms. There was also this dumb happiness mechanic but I don't remember much of it.
Even the combat, the only promising part that supposedly fixed the legendary death stack, was terrible once I realized the ai just can't play it at all(stellaris suffers from that too btw).
I've played both civ 3 and 4 vanillas. Aside from the gamebreaking interceptor bug in later ages in civ 3, both were light years ahead of that turd V and actually fun to play.

The way I played it was outlawing slaved Xenos from breeding, so basically they purge themselves over time without the 'purge policy' -50 token.
You can also starve them while doing so by moving pops off farms, and set a planet edict of 'land of opportunity' so humans take the place of dying Xenos.
It's the only way to play extermination without getting fucked by alliances constantly.
