This is GDP PPP, it gives a better idea of what they could actually afford to do. It won't reflect their purchasing power for raw materials but it is pretty accurate considering the cost of human labor and what not.

As long as people keeps buying cheap disposable goods, China will have power over them, however the west has a bigger bargain chip and thats environment, China is polluted as fuck and it will get people against the government unless they use western tech to clean their cities.
