Algeria was a ex colony of France. They fought for independence, won and France left.

Apparently France commited a shit ton of war crimes while there through, massacring the populace and using torture. So i assume algerians don't have the best opinion of the french.
>>
>>74805524
One colonized the other, and then the other colonized the one.

>>74805768
Dad you have no right to talk, you lost against me twice and we save your ass in WW2
>>

They got independence, but I wouldn't call it winning.
>>
>>74805955

Something smells good, is the whitehouse almost done?

The Cremieux decree whereby a Jewish lawyer in France declared all Algerian Jews to be French citizens.

It seems like there's is common relations. my girl is from Paris, her father is from Algeria, and she has many friends that speak this weird arab french language mix
>>
>>74805840
France literally won every single battle. Kind of like America in Vietnam.

The FLN (the algerians) were genocidal mass murderers. Upon gaining independence they promptly executed hundreds of thousands of "traitors".

Algerians are potentially the most radical of Muslims in Western nations along with their neighbors from Morocco. To me North Africa is essentially a shit-hole infested with the worst of all religions, Islam. Algeria and Moroccan immigrants literally bring no benefit to their host societies, their children are often thugs and criminals, they make up the majority of the prison population in Quebec. They radicalize easily and are often violent. There is a very few minority of Algerian or Moroccan people that contribute to the West while being secular or non-practicing. The rest of the immigrants from these countries are absolute and total shit, avoid at all cost.

I meant 'win' as in gained independence, and i believe the mass executions were in retaliation to France's

>>74806282
My mother is from Algeria and she's pretty radical about islam - straight up slapped me for even joking about leaving Islam (i don't actually believe it but of course i can't say shit)
>>
>>74805524
mostly historical.
can't really generalize about popular opinion, some will hate the other, others wont care.

i think Algeria had more impact on France than expected, at least way more thanany other of their former colonies.
with the pied noirs and all.

i read in an article somwhere that about 20% of the French poplulation has a relative of Algerian origin (grand father/mother, uncle, etc...)
>>
>>74807101
Do algerians still hate France over the whole 'massacred your people' thing?
>>
>>74807101
She speaks highly of Algeria, says it is the most peaceful and beautiful country
>>
>>74806879
>and i believe the mass executions were in retaliation to France's
I'm talking about algerians being killed here. Hundreds of thousands of algerians were murdered by the FLN because they were suspected of having sympathy for the French. And if an algerian had been pro french in the past he was tortured and killed.

well its pretty comfy desu, almost no crime,
you get few robberies but even those are rare, i think i only heard of one in the pas 15 years.
being a homogeneous population without multiculturalism helps i guess.
as for beautiful, it really depend on where you go, as long as you avoid big cities its fine i guess

you should be fine, but if you only speak english you're gonna have a hard time.

its not the best destination out there imo

also try to avoid people that look like pic related, as a general rule, better safe than sorry ^^
and don't talk to veiled women, i mean depends on the color of her veil too.
if its a flashy color like blue or pink you'll be fine, but if its black or white, just avoid.
they're not violent but in general they won't talk to random guys.
>>74808141

not really, i mean there are cops everywhere, but thats not really the reason.

why did you get here, dude ?
also Algiers is probably the worst place to visit in Algeria, its a big polluted city.

should've been to Oran, Constantine or even Kabilie.
there are magnificent small stone villages near mountains and the sea

I don't know... maybe algeria being part of the french territory until 1965 is one of the reasons? dumb nigger
