ISIS is barely even a threat. Don't get fooled by the media, they're a bunch of nucucks with guns that like to make youtube videos. They are about as threatening as nigger gangs. Iraq under Saddam was a unified country with a strong and motivated military force that would do anything Saddam would tell them to do. They were not splintered or disorganized and spread thinly. Long term warfare demoralizes a nation. Our problem is starting wars for a moral purpose (minus the secret ones), but realizing after a few years it is not worth the time and money because we lack proper perspective on how to win a war. We think it only takes military strength and forget the spirtitual war you are also engaging with with the population. Middle east is a perfect example. It would take us less than a year to take over every country but it would take us generations to change their culture such that they dont fuck it back up when we leave.
