Why are women in general much less patriotic than men? Women are less likely to disapprove of illegal immigration and more likely to be against spending on national defense and of preserving traditional values. Why do women have so little love for the countries that protect and nurture them?

Women aren't expect to give their lives in combat to protect their families; men are. In the extreme case, the men in a community should fight to death before letting their families fall into the power of the enemy. A woman, on the other hand, bends over and spreads her legs and hopes the conqueror enjoys her and her daughter enough to look after them.
So the men in a society value an emotional commitment to common defense that is unconditional and unbreakable - that keeps them all safe. But the women tend to show a more unstable loyalty that is genuine enough, but not so deep it can't switch to her husband's murderer in the space of an hour.

Women got to be used to being taken by victors. Some alpha group invades the territory, kills the defeated males and impregnates the women. Women are a natural commodity, they know no loyalty, they just go with the flow. Due to their physical inferiority they couldn't change anything anyway, they'd only get themselves killed. Think about the ancient times, we are evolved in a tribal setting and if males of the tribe are killed by another tribe, you cannot cling to your old tribe and expect to live. Women who went to the other tribe (who killed their brothers and husbands) survived, women who stayed loyal did not.
