Now, I know "privatisation" sends a lot of people reeling when they hear it, but at its very core, private enterprises are always voluntary to interact with, affording greater liberty to the individual. Privatisation also introduces competition, and I don't have to explain why that is good for you and me.
So I hope you understand that the Right is concerned (traditionally) with imparting the greatest amount of liberty to the individual. If you interpret this as "not caring about people", you've got it entirely backwards. Just because they don't want to give up their property at the point of a gun to be redistributed by the state doesn't mean they don't care. We want to create the best possible environment to encourage and allow all people to help THEMSELVES.
That's without going into why the Democrats actually DON'T care about people, but their political stratergy relies upon the average voter thinking that they do. Could write 1000 pages on this, so its a cut and dry explaination.

Like I said at the end of my last comment, I could write for 1000 pages about this stuff, so I'll give you the most basic explaination that I can.
Here's the fact of the matter. The democrats are actually invested in keeping the poor at the bottom rung of the social ladder and then cultivating blame against an intangible enemy, before promising the poor that if they vote Democrat, things will change. The poorest cities in America have been run unopposed by Democrats for the last 80 years and nothing has gotten better. In fact, a lot has gotten worse.
The Democrats don't want to help the poor. Poor people vote Left. The easiest place to demonstrate this is by looking at the immigration policies of the Left. Open the doors, let them all in. Flood the low-skill worker market, driving down wages, strangling oppurtunities, and keeping the crabs in the bucket.
If the Democrats ACTUALLY wanted to help people, they would want to stop immigration and actually focus upon getting the poor Americans into education and into work. They aren't interested in that. All the Democrats want to do is give them welfare and keep them voting left.
