The Nazi Party nationalized the unions (Deutsche Arbeitsfront) and created courts to oversee retail companies so that their business practices would be in line with the government's agenda. Nazi's fined employers for "exploitation". They also implemented strict licensing requirements for retailers. This was in addition to keeping industries which were already nationalized.
Nationalization of industry was a key part of the Nazi party platform. They were given power as a result of this, amongst other things. This is why the center-left and left (but not the far/Communist left) both in Germany and abroad supported he and Mussolini. It was only when war started that the left in other countries moved to distance themselves. Hitler and Mussolini never had the support of conservatives.

This meme needs to end. NatSoc is fascism and therefore right-wing, end of discussion. Both socialism and fascism have "big government" (authoritarian side) but that's it. And socialism specifically is way less authoritarian.
