That was pretty much exactly Trump's proposition like ten years ago when they were unveiling conceptual designs for the new tower that were all funky. He said that they should rebuild them the exact same way, except with slightly better structural integrity, and a few stories taller just as a fuck you. That would have been a much better way of doing it.
