"Preparing for Invasion: Poland's Weekend Warriors"

Western Europeans, prepare to cry in shame at your country's lack of freedom. This 15m short documentary (filmed by some worried German journalists) follows in brief the 80,000 strong Polish Paramilitary, who's membership has tripled since Russia annexed the Crimea.

Students, young people, men and women from all over the country are enlisting in private regiments to form a highly trained Home Guard.

Highlights:
>Qt3.14 military students
>Healthy patriotism, and children showing it
>Based sunglasses man
>"Polish Tradition"
>Live exercises in cities and forests

What do you think, /Pol/? Is this healthy behaviour, to be proud of? Or should they be ashamed of their love of violence, and disarm like Merkel wants them to?

>Stay Based, Poland. <3

Militias could save the white race, nothing gets young people away from the pc jew than guns, training outdoors and learning cameraderie at the same time.

Poles are lucky, this will help people connect to eachother.

Nothing special here. I am quiet sure that there is a highschool which opens military class in every city with population over 10k. Very simmilar to those are "police classes". In the city which i live near (population 25k) there are both, police and military classes.

almost all western countries have no equivalent to the patriotism on display here. In America we do have militias but they don't have any popular support or support from the government, It is seen as a eccentric thing by most.

Good to see the support. Every week at the uni I'm reminded that we're hated because we're not tolerant enough. Bullshit. There's a soft civil war in Poland happening right now. Some journalists write for foreign newspapers in France or Germany creating a false image of Poland as an authoritarian country. The current rulling party is pretty horrible but their saving grace is that they're against European multiculturalism.
Sometimes it's hard to read or listen to the news everyone has become so radicalized. Now even the past isn't safe. People can tell your political affiliation by looking at the symbols on your t-shirt or by your opinions on the cursed soldiers (anti-communist insurgents after WWII) which in normal country should've been a uniting factor.

I thought that Americans are pretty redpilled when it comes to guns and patriotism. Paramillitia are so popular in Poland because people think that its something common in USA, so they want to be able to protect our country and based america gives them hope. Even politicans think that it something common so they want to support it.
John Rambo inspires young people here since first emission in TV/cinema.

It's a huge thing in Poland but it met with a strong reaction from the "nu-Europe" crowd.
And it's not like the other side doesn't attract some (well-meaning but still) blockheads.

When my Dad was growing up in Poland he said samurai movies, like the ones Kurosawa did were popular. Is that true?
>>
>>74670206
I only know people liked Godzilla movies, Enter the Dragon and... I don't know I suppose whatever else they were releasing around that time.
Except for James Bond who was banned.
>>
>>74669549
For the most part militias are not popular here, most people just join the U.S. military because being a veteran has benefits and the average American has high respect for anyone in the military. We do still follow the "behind every blade of grass there would be a rifle" philosophy if we were ever invaded. There are enough citizen owned guns and ammunition in America to arm every man, woman, and child. So actually trying to invade the U.S. is going to be a failed endeavor unless are able to somehow support at least 30 million troops stationed here indefinitely which sounds impossible to logistically do alone.

>James Bond who was banned
why would he be banned? degenerate sleeping around?
>>
>>74670646
Because Communism
>>
>>74670646
Because he fought against the Warsaw Pact forcce in the Cold War. So naturally people would root for him whereas they weren't supposed to. He was only allowed with the end of communism around 1990.
We had our own version called 07 but he was just a cop.
I desperately wanted to see at least one James Bond movie and went crazy when they showed the whole series in tv around 2004-05.
>>
>>74670744
oh right, James Bond is pretty anti communist since he was always killing KGB
>>
>>74670510
>>74670862
So stuff like action movies are really popular over there then?
>>
>>74671064
Right now? People in Poland watch whatever they watch in the US and rest of the world. So whatever they can find on Netflix, HBO and, most importantly, the torrents.
>>
>>74669549
Not really. Paramilitia are popular here because of the long tradition of citizens organizing themselves military-wise, unfortunately usually out of necessity (guerillas, insurections, Polish Underground State, etc.). We (hopefully not) may be forced to use them once again.
