>The Aviation Herald said it had received flight data filed through the Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) from three independent channels.
>It said the system showed that at 02:26 local time on Thursday (00:26 GMT) smoke was detected in the Airbus A320 toilet.

>smoke was detected in the Airbus A320 toilet

What could have caused this?

You still have some control on the A320 when the flight computers go down. I know it's fly by wire but the aircraft won't drop like a stone such as a Eurofighter Typhoon would if all flight computers went down.

They still haven't connected it to the nigger in somalia who blew himself up at 10,000 feet and was sucked out of the plane, but the Serb pilot was able to land it.

That was the test run for this one.

This one was the test run for it. they probably put it on Eiretrea, then had a nigger on board set it off.
It was just enough explosive-- or having a sand nigger as pilots and not a serb-- was enough to bring it down.

>>74635781
Not really, I was just interested what could have happened there.

Maybe someone from the passangers was a terrorist and started a fire on that toilet / threw a bomb and flushed it / did some funny stuff with ventilation system, since later reports indicated smoke in cockpit

Dude it was nerve gas. Explains the "smoke" because the detectors only go off when there is a heavy gas / particulate in the area. Thats why the pilot freaked out and put the plane into the ocean. Nerve gas confirmed

what about the windows?

00:26 ANT-ICE R WINDOW; a fault is in either the right sliding window or fixed window (not the windshield).
00:26 R SLIDING WINDOW SENSOR; the right window heat control unit detects a problem with the sliding window sensor circuit.
00:26 SMOKE LAVATORY SMOKE; smoke detected in the lavatory.
00:27 AVIONICS SMOKE; smoke is detected in the Avionics bay.
00:28 R FIXED WINDOW SENSOR; the right window heat control unit detects a problem with the fixed window sensor circuit.
00:29 AUTO FLT FCU 2 FAULT; autopilot flight control unit (Mode control panel) channel 2 is faulted. Channel 1 still OK so no big deal.
00:29 F/CTL SEC 3 FAULT; the number 3 spoiler elevator computer is faulted. Number 2 and 3 still OK.

Airline pilot here. Here's what I think happened.

>plane lands in Eritrea
>plane is being serviced by cleaners
>one of the workers has ISIS connections
>pries off a panel in the first class bathroom
>places timed bomb
>replaces panel
>plane goes on its day
>hours later it blows up
>hydraulic lines severed, causing plane to turn as described by the radar
>plane descends rapidly, increasing speed
>eventually plane loses its structural integrity
>>
>>74636717
>>74636904

It could have been a fire-bomb set off in the lavatory. You’re allowed as many 1/10th of liter bottles of liquid that will fit in a quart sized bag. A group of 4 suicide bombers could perhaps smuggle well over 2 liters of gasoline. Dump the gas on a carry on packed with polyester clothes, light it off with a single, strike-anywhere match, you’ve got a hell of fire on your hands.

Chemical oxygen generators that were being shipped accidentally went off, causing a massive fire in the cargo bay, severing electrical lines and filling the cabin with enough smoke to knock everyone out.

Looking at the incompetence of the contractors in that case, it wouldn't be difficult to make one of these generators activate and burn shit up.

Francium is the most combustible element in its natural state. Flushing even a gram down an airplane toilet could easily blow a hole in the fuselage.

A tin can plane falling 37 thousand feet should cause the plane to break apart mid air right?

There are chairs and body parts that have been found, most likely were sucked out of the plane.

There was a French plane that nose dived from a high altitude and broke apart during that fall.

I forget? It could be French or some other plane.

If you are genuinely interested in this story, this site has been around for literally 20+ years and is made up of current and retired pilots.

Please don't do stupid shit like set up an account to shitpost bc the site is run by a prissy BA pilot who might then even restrict viewing access w/o an account.

They had pictures of the first wreckage up before any media:

Pilot here also, you would think an explosion in the dunny would decompress the compartment pretty much immediately though and no smoke.
>>
>>74639157
would blowing the hyd lines and the fluid going into the engines cause smoke? what about normal burning?

Mate please don't be a retard.

>Bulk francium has never been viewed. Because of the general appearance of the other elements in its periodic table column, it is assumed that francium would appear as a highly reflective metal, if enough could be collected together to be viewed as a bulk solid or liquid. Obtaining such a sample is highly improbable, since the extreme heat of decay (the half-life of its longest-lived isotope is only 22 minutes) would immediately vaporize any viewable quantity of the element.

Smoke detectors are actually particle detectors, so I think an explosion in the lav would definitely set them off.
>>
>>74639374
I don't think the bomb was in the passenger area but probably in the forward luggage compartment, the explosion took out a lot of electrical wiring probably connected to smoke detectors alarms and the like. I'm not sure if they sweep the actual luggage compartments at Charles De Gaulle or just the baggage itself. It might be that a bomb was fastened inside the compartment and made to look like the normal interior at some earlier stop.
>>
>>74637381
I'm waiting for a mass shooting. Recently I saw at the end of the tunnel right before the plane door, a worker open another door to access something from outside, if that makes sense. I was the last and second to last in line for the plane both times. He could've easily handed me a ak47 with a few clips or a bomb he gradually brought to work each day and assembled somewhere. The door he accessed should be locked, the second time he was getting bags that were checked in because too much carry on. I also could've picked someone's bag up.
>>
>>74639879
to do that, wouldn't the terrorist(s) have to pose as ground crew?
hell, if they really wanted to guarantee success, they'd put it in some poor bastard's luggage.
nobody checks luggage and it would be mid flight when it detonated anyway

Perfume is often alcohol based, and so is mouthwash and other products.
Also ordinary mineral oil, which is used in tons of cosmetics will burn just fine.
So no. You can't really detect gasoline or other flammable materials without a shitload of false alarms.
