Time after time, people keep banning words for the sake of protecting people's feelings, when in reality, people are still just going to switch to a new word and eventually just make that word forbidden too.

The first problem I have with it is the phenpmenon itself, which is human intervention into a complex natural system, in this case our reproductive system. Like interventions into our brain (psychiatric pills and anti-depressants, etc.) and intervention into our looks (plastic surgery), this type of intervention is completely unnecessary, has little to advantages and potentially massive disadvantages. For instance, it's not particularly normal to introduce huge quantities of hormones and body modification into a human body, nevermind the effects outside of it.
The second problem I have is the fact that these people ultimately live in lie. A guy who has his 'sex changed' is not a female, he's ultimately still a guy who made himself look like a woman. Your gender is whatever you're born with, and I often feel like much of this stuff stems from people who simply don't want to accept that a good portion of our life is given to us. We didn't get a choice in the matter. To me, there's nothing wrong with that, but it seems that, to me, we increasingly live in a culture of desires. We live in a world where everyone should be given everything they want, regardless of whether what they want isn't completely stupid or even flat-out impossible. Now, instead of accepting that some things, like the color of our skin, the gender we're born with, the country we're born in, etc., there's this creepy push to recreate and reconstruct reality to align with your every desire, regardless of whether reality actually does. This has a created a sort of simulation reality, where we're all told to pretend that that guy is actually a woman, to pretend that being fat is actually healthy, to pretend that black people are never at fault for anything and that the white male is the only reason why they're not successful.
