the circles were a complete blunder. the text is what she wanted to convey: 90% of all americans and 83% of gun owners support universal background checks, whatever that is.

I think she's saying that Jamal should not be able to buy a gun off Tyrone without Tyrone being a licensed dealer who checks with the FBI to make sure that Jamal is not a criminal.

>>

>>
>>74570305
it isn't a true statement.

virtually no gun owners support "universal background checks," they support background checks as we currently have them.

background checks on private sales of firearms are a red line which not even king george tried to cross when he triggered the revolutionary war with a confiscation order. hillary has absolutely no chance of passing it, but it resonates great with the libfags.

a majority of gun owners want the ATF gone entirely -- no background checks. no databases. no FFL and SOT. the only faggots that like this shit are fudds who lock up their ammo and don't even own, let alone carry, a pistol.
>>
>>74570305
>I think she's saying that Jamal should not be able to buy a gun off Tyrone without Tyrone being a licensed dealer who checks with the FBI to make sure that Jamal is not a criminal.

That's what the coincidentally Jewish "polling" firm basically asked when they came up with that 90% number.

The kikes then turned around and used those "yes" answers and insisted that meant those same people supported the end of private sales, full registration of all weapons, and more laws restricting the rights of Americans.

When a kike speaks, they're lying.

private sales are generally not regulated by the federal government. in some states, you must file transfer paperwork, even if you're just gifting a firearm to a family member. they want "universal" which means every single transaction involving firearms and ammo goes into a single central federal database, which is de facto firearms registration. under this system if a weapon was transferred to you, or someone even made it look like a weapon was transferred to you, and you don't have it, you've committed a crime.

it will not be tolerated.

I think you're actually REQUIRED to own a gun in Switzerland. At least every household is supposed to have one. Plus everyone has to serve two years in the military (with some exceptions). When everyone owns and is trained to use a gun there is very little violence.
>>
>>74570192

They want background checks for private sales.

cultural aspect to peace, you mean.

the safest places are better correlated with nations featuring only one majority in:
- religion
- heritage
- language
- ethnicity

the more categories they hit, the better they do. it's why nationalism -- citizenship by nativity -- is more successful than any other method of creating a unified identity.

government can't secure these things, and in fact the immigration crisis is proof that a government's self-preservation system is to do the exact opposite, and ruin the majority culture.

Waste of time and money. Closing the so-called "gun show loophole" (that is selling guns off the record) is completely unenforceable (we literally have more guns than people in the US), and it will accomplish nothing. In polls, people are usually for universal background checks because it sounds nice, but it'll accomplish nothing in practice.
>>
>>74569563
The poll she is citing is pure propaganda. If you ask people if they support background checks, they will say "yes" because they assume you mean to check if the person buying a gun is a felon. If you ask people if they support the actual laws Hillary and co. propose, most say no.

The question which is usually cited for these numbers is similar to the one seen here: http://www.gallup.com/poll/1645/guns.aspx
>Would you favor or oppose a law which would require universal background checks for all gun purchased in the US using a centralized database across all 50 states?
86% favor, 12% oppose

What the question doesn't tell you is that such a database already exists for felons and that all authorized gun retailers are required to check the database before completing a sell. Hillary and co. won't tell you that either. They want to pretend the law doesn't exist so that you vote for them to introduce the law, when in reality they want to introduce other laws. They do the same thing with the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009, for example.

Examples of polls asking specifics:
(More from http://www.gallup.com/poll/1645/guns.aspx)
>Do you think there should or should not be a law that would ban the possession of handguns, except by the police and other authorized persons?
27% yes, 72% no
>Which party do you think can do a better job of reflecting your views about gun control?
44% Republican, 38% Democrat
>What is your overall opinion of the National Rifle Association, also known as the NRA
58% favorable, 35% unfavorable
>Do you think having a gun in the house makes it a safer place or a more dangerous place?
63% safer, 30% more dangerous
>If you have to choose, which approach to preventing future school shootings should the president and Congress focus on?
30% change laws on guns and ammunition, 65% change school security measures and mental health system
>>
>>74569563

It just basically means that.
>90% of Americans support background checks
>83% of gun owners support background checks

jesus christ that term would apply to tonnes of australian shooters, especially older ones that are part of gun clubs and *some* farmers, though i suppose farmers have an excuse to the extent that they might not even be keen on guns but have them as part of their occupation.

generally speaking younger gun collectors/enthusiasts actually have a desire to have looser gun laws but i think the buyback broke the spirits of so many gun owners they just resigned themselves to the fact that theyll never have anything beyond a centrefire bolt action, a .22 and maybe a double barrel shotgun.

Ill try and find the list but my dad had a list of all the things he had before the buyback. there were about 45 guns varying from lever action 30-30s to SLRs and 870s

>he had them leaning agains the wall with a chain through the trigger guards because he didnt have a big enough safe and no laws said he needed one at the time.

I've personally come to conclude that the people working on her team hate her fucking guts and are quietly sabotaging from the inside.

Based on her treatment to the SS detail assigned for her in the past and how astronomically bad mistakes keep happening.

Who the fuck approved the Ghostbusters Ellen thing. Probably her staff.

No even that doesn't work, because the circle for "support background checks" is entirely enclosed within "Americans". Since 90% of Americans supposedly support them, this diagram doesn't work.

For a Venn Diagram, the categories must be mutually exclusive. "Gun owners" are a subset of "Americans" so a Venn diagram doesn't work
>>
>>74569563
They don't actually understand the concept of a Venn diagram!

The "universe," or largest circle, is Americans. Within Americans there are two subsets: gun owners and supporters of background checks, and these subsets overlap.
>>
>>74569563

What were they thinkeeeeeeeen?????
>>
>>74577474
But the statistics say that only 90% of Americans support background checks, not 100%

So this diagram doesn't tell the whole story
You'd need a second diagram to relate that info
>>
>>74577624
The Americans who do not support background checks are in the pink and red portions. The pink are non-gunowners, and the red are gunowners.

Wow, there's so much support for her gun control laws.

How are the gun laws we currently have magically moving in the opposite direction every year?

How are opinion polls on the topic moving in the opposite direction every month?

Perhaps there is no support, unlike what she claims.

>Not realizing that all gun control is unconstitutional.
Wew lad. Universal background checks are a misleading Bullshit meme of an argument just like all modern gun control talking points. Assault rifles have been strictly regulated sence before they were even officially defined. Gun show loophole not a thing. All vendors who sell guns have to be licensed and have to perform a 4473 background check. Private sales are regulated by individual State laws. What they want is a ban on individual sale, but they don't call it that because only the bleeding heart liberals would go for it.
Muh dead children statistics. Includes dindu on dindu gang violence and considers 19 year old multiple conviction felons as children.
I whole heartedly believe Hillary will be the worst thing for gun rights and America in general in over a hundred years. How can anyone vote into the highest office in the land someone who is either flagrantly incompetent, wildly corrupt, but most likely both? That's why she aligns perfectly with gun control it's a corrupt deceitful institution based on taking away the right of law abiding tax paying citizens and it will never be satisfied.

The thing with that Venn diagram is that those 83% support the current measures, not new ones.

And I bet if you asked that same 83%, they'd tell you that NY, California, Chicago, Massachusetts and so on have ridiculous gun control laws.

which they can only enforce after someone has protected themselves from danger using an "illegal gun".

The communists dont ban guns, they make it impossible to use them, then they ban them.
>>
>>74570030
In a venn diagram, each circle is the entirety of that group.
So there would be a "gun owner" cirlce INSIDE the "americans" circle, with another circle entirely inside the "americans' circle taking up 90% of it, with 17% of the gun owners circle being outside of that third circle but still in the "americans" circle.

That's a lie though. Most people support background checks and reasonable gun control which we already have. Just like how they call everything that looks scary an assault rifle when they technically are not. Universal background checks is code for banning private sales.

so.. what? hillary is so dumb what the fuck. THESE PEOPLE ARE BEING PAID SALARIES FOR GODS SAKE
the idea is to take two groups, in this case gun owners and americans, and then demonstrate what they both have in common. but.. she's already defined the percentage of the group.. but.. each circle is supposed to have those that both agree and disagree with the premise of universal background checks..
