The more reasonable explanation for tranny brains being different is that behaving a certain way is going to physically change what your brain looks like and which parts of your brain lit up when you're scanned.
I am willing to bet that if I started acting like a woman for a year and taking interest in ''girly'' things my brain would physically change and one of these tests would confirm that I am female just like I know for a fact that if I learn to play the piano my brain will psychically change in a very real and detectable way.
