Oh my god, of course I'm not going to vote to leave Europe, what kind of racist xenophobe do you think I am? Also, I saw on facebook that all the economy will be gone if we aren't in Europe. Really stupid thing to do then.

What if I want to work in Europe? I mean, sure, don't know french or german and never will but it's the thought that counts.

Apparently the person wanting to leave Europe is that UKIP man and he's like literally Hitler, like actually bad, just like that Trump guy in America with the fake hair xD

Indeed.

This is what the Federalists on the continent will push.

A vote to remain will be taken as a vote of implicit support by the UK for the idea of a country called Europe by European politians who support the idea.

It is the thin edge of a very large wedge leading the the creation of a Unitem States of Europe.

This is the project they want so dearly. All roads lead to it. It is simply a matter of speed to them.

Also, it's never about identity, that's cannon-fodder mentality; Israel wants to expand and sells identity to the young israelis, Palestinians and Irish just want to exist. Both sides are pulling the populations behind their respective causes, on the notion of a common identity; that's the essence of nationalism.

Politicians from Germany, France and the UK (as well as other countries) use the EU to create laws that are unpopular. This way, the politicians can say "it is from the EU we must implement it". It is undemocratic.

A "brexit" wouldn't be the end. The companies will want access to the british market. If the UK leaves there will be a free-trade agreement. I doubt that it will effect the british economy.
Britain wants and needs close ties with the EU, but they do not want and need the political arrogance of brussel and Germany.

The idea of the EU was to create peace and there is peace within europe. The idea of Germany, France or England going to war with each other again is insane. We are culturally and economically to much intertwined.

I want european countries to become closer, but the politicians are forcing it to much. Why not simply trade with each other closely without this other shit? It would still create european standards, norms and agreements. It would still bring us closer together, but it wouldn't force us.

Fuck the EU. Please britbongs - leave it.

I agree

>I want european countries to become closer, but the politicians are forcing it to much. Why not simply trade with each other closely without this other shit? It would still create european standards, norms and agreements. It would still bring us closer together, but it wouldn't force us.

that is similar to the current u.s. voting rights act matter going on: a sine qua non, because it was due to the Voting rights act being passed that ended segregation that racists in the u.s. today can say "since racism ended, we don't need it anymore".

Trading is something that was, among other factors which you mentioned, at the core of integration, but we are currently in an era where capitalism has reached a major contradiction: its constant need to expand its profits, while simultaneously keeping the consumer base underpaid. Furthermore, the elites in Europe have to break the traditional ties with the homogenised national working classes, as the new finacialised capitalism needs their pensions and money, while simultaneously ensuring a revolving door policy for job spots; enter the neoliberal policies in France (one of the many examples of that, now well established, paradigm).

And this is exactly what the "immgration crisis" exposes: the so-called "european values" would never allow for a foreigner to be used as cheap labour, especially now that it is needed so much. That's why they have to present it as a crisis, so that the refugees' lives can be devalued, since you can't have a devaluation of labour force without devaluating the worth of the life of workers.

A significant number (in the millions) of these migrants came in after Labour threw open the borders to mass immigration to inflate their voter base, make the UK "more multicultural" and basically rub the Conservatives' noses in "diversity" back in the early 00s.

We had a fair number of immigrants before that point, but many of these were from the colonial era and the decades after, and the vast majority of them were fully integrated, hard-working citizens who saw themselves as British first and anything else second.

It's the Blair/Brown-era open borders policy that brought in hordes of immigrants who refused to integrate, formed isolated communities of their own people, lived off government support. Many of these were muslims from Iraq, Afghanistan and surrounding areas, as the open-doors policy came about pretty much at the start of the invasion of Afghanistan.

If we could secure an "actual leave" I would be willing to bite. The Brexit process will take years and years and years. The average person doesn't understand how difficult the process is going to be and the depth and width of our entanglement with Europe.

Even if we voted leave the politicians and bureaucrats on both sides will make sure or realise that certain elements will need to stay or be changed and we would likely end up in a weird limbo situation at best and at worst something like Norway or Switzerland. And I'd far rather be in the EU than be a cucked country.

No not really even if we vote for BREXIT we will still be a member at the end of 2016 and likely will be one at the end of 2017 and maybe even 2018.

Not only are we going to deal with the domestic fallout if BREXIT occurs but following that around a 2 year (probably going to get extended) negotiation for withdrawal. Following that we will immediately go back in renegotation with Europe and god-knows what our politicians will slip in.

At worst we will be cucked into an EEA situation, slightly better maybe a bilateral agreement or maybe best a FTA agreement however all of these require a long process which will mean we need to start getting stuck into European law again.

People forgot about the migrants at Calais for one. They stopped reporting the hordes.

Forgot about the rapes in Cologne.

The public is fickle.

>Better the devil you know and all that.

Where's your evidence of this? The data published by the political parties shows that the EU costs 50 million pounds a day and that isn't even counting the costs of housing and supporting the millions of hostile immigrants Germany forces upon everyone.

The EU was meant as a zone for free TRADE, not centralized government by the United States of Europe. Trade will not be affected at all.

Keep up, it normalized. It always normalizes. Population growth is NEVER a straight line. It waxes and wanes. As it should.
